Summer Dance Sampler 2011Four Weeks of Summer Dance Fun! ~~July 11th through August 5th~~ Young Children’s Division Creative Movement ~ (Ages 3 & 4) 45 min class Based on the spirit of fun, this age-appropriate creatively choreographed program explores all the basics of dance. With activity resources and special music, teachers engage the students’ attention and imagination. Classes offered: Tuesdays: 4:15 – 5:00 PM Dates: 7/12, 7/19, 7/26, 8/2 *Creative Movement class card – $32.00 (4 classes)* Kinder-combo ~ (Ages 5 – 6) 1 hr class In this successful age-appropriate program, children are introduced to all the fundamentals of 3 basic forms of dance: Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Throughout this program, students will learn the correct disciplines of body positioning, and alignment in Ballet, develop an outstanding sense of rhythm and musicality through Tap, and be introduced to the exhilarating world of Jazz. Classes offered: Tuesdays: 5:00 – 6:00 PM Dates: 7/12, 7/19, 7/26, 8/2 *Kinder-combo class card – $40.00 (4 classes)* Primary Classes ~ (Ages 7 – 9) Children will have the opportunity to sample and explore 4 exciting styles of dance. Throughout each weekly 1 hour class, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop will be introduced, highlighting 2 styles per class. Classes offered: Tuesdays: 6:00 – 7:00 PM Dates: 7/12, 7/19, 7/26, 8/2 *Primary Dance Sampler class card – $40.00 (4 – 1 hour classes)* Junior Classes ~(Ages 10 – 12) Children will have the opportunity to sample and explore 4 exciting styles of dance. Throughout each weekly 1.5 hour class, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop will be introduced, highlighting 2 styles per class. Classes offered: Wednesdays: 5:30 – 7:00 Dates: 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3 *Junior class card - $50.00 (4 – 1 ½ hour classes) Senior Division ~ (Ages 13 & up) Whether you are fine tuning your skills, or looking to explore a new style of dance, the Senior Sampler is perfect for you! Advanced level classes for company students will be held during our 4 week summer program. Various subjects will be presented during 2 one hour classes each Thursday evening. This is an excellent opportunity for those students wanting to maintain and improve their technical skills during the summer break. Classes will be grouped appropriately, once registration has been completed.
